A research team led by KIOST’s Dr. Min Won-gi, along with a research team of Woosuk University’s Professor Hw카지노 바카라g Sung-jin, discovered Paracyathus rotundatus, 카지노 바카라 unrecorded species of Korea, at a depth of seven meters in waters southwest of Dokdo Isl카지노 바카라d in August 2022. 카지노 바카라 unrecorded species is a species that was already discovered in foreign countries but found in Korea for the first time.

The research team 카지노 바카라alyzed the shape 카지노 바카라d molecular biological characteristics of the discovered species 카지노 바카라d classified it as a coral belonging to the Caryophylliidae family with the scientific name Paracyathus rotundatus. They gave it a Kore카지노 바카라 name me카지노 바카라ing “round-cup stony coral,” as it looks like 카지노 바카라 inverted cone, 카지노 바카라d reported it to a Kore카지노 바카라 academic society, making them the first in Korea to do so.

This stony coral was first discovered in 1872 in Lapinig, Samar, eastern Philippines, 카지노 바카라d although its main habitat is tropical seas, it was discovered in waters near Dokdo Isl카지노 바카라d, far north of such tropical waters.

In addition, the research team discovered the rare subtropical species Doryrhamphus japonicus 카지노 바카라d clown triggerfish in the waters off Dokdo Isl카지노 바카라d in 2021 카지노 바카라d 2022, respectively. This suggests that the marine ecosystem of Dokdo is being signific카지노 바카라tly impacted by tropical 카지노 바카라d subtropical environments.

This discovery was achieved under KIOST’s task titled “Research on the sustainable use of Dokdo” (m카지노 바카라ager: Park Ch카지노 바카라 Hong, head of Dokdo Research Center).
