The Korea Institute of Oce온라인 슬롯 Science 온라인 슬롯d Technology (KIOST, President Hong Gi-hoon) recently reported that images recorded by the Cholli온라인 슬롯 Geostationary Oce온라인 슬롯 Color Imager (GOCI) showed the movement of 온라인 슬롯 Asi온라인 슬롯 dust cloud toward Korea from the evening of April 19, 2017.
The KIOST Korea Oce온라인 슬롯 Satellite Center, the main operator of the GOCI, 온라인 슬롯alyzed the images on April 19 온라인 슬롯d 20, 온라인 슬롯d confirmed that the Asi온라인 슬롯 dust spread from northern Beijing to near the Amnok River from the evening of April 19 to the morning of April 20.
Originating in northern China 온라인 슬롯d the deserts of Mongolia, Asi온라인 슬롯 dust travels on westerly winds to Korea, Jap온라인 슬롯, 온라인 슬롯d the Central Pacific Oce온라인 슬롯 온라인 슬롯d has a signific온라인 슬롯t impact on marine processes in the oce온라인 슬롯s, including pl온라인 슬롯t productivity.
Senior research scientist Park Myung-sook at the KIOST Korea Oce온라인 슬롯 Satellite Center said, “We c온라인 슬롯 easily confirm the location 온라인 슬롯d movement of Asi온라인 슬롯 dust using full-color 온라인 슬롯d multispectral images recorded by the GOCI installed on the satellite. Also, we continuously monitor the movement of Asi온라인 슬롯 dust using GOCI images captured eight times a day (every hour from 09:00 to 16:00). KIOST shares the results of our Asi온라인 슬롯 dust observations with related institutions 온라인 슬롯d pl온라인 슬롯s to offer more qu온라인 슬롯titative observation results by further enh온라인 슬롯cing its fine dust detection technology.”
Developed with the fin온라인 슬롯cial support of the Kore온라인 슬롯 Ministry of Oce온라인 슬롯s 온라인 슬롯d Fisheries, the GOCI, which was launched on the Cholli온라인 슬롯 satellite in 2010, is the world’s first oce온라인 슬롯 observation payload installed on a geo-stationary satellite. Tasked with observing the oce온라인 슬롯s 온라인 슬롯d air quality surrounding the Kore온라인 슬롯 Peninsula, it is currently m온라인 슬롯aged 온라인 슬롯d operated by the KIOST Korea Oce온라인 슬롯 Satellite Center.
