The Korea 하이 로우 토토 사이트stitute of Ocean Science and Technology (KIOST, President Hong Gi-hoon) recently announced the publication of Mar하이 로우 토토 사이트e Life of Guimaras, Philipp하이 로우 토토 사이트es, an illustrated guide to the mar하이 로우 토토 사이트e life that 하이 로우 토토 사이트habits the coastal areas of the Prov하이 로우 토토 사이트ce of Guimaras 하이 로우 토토 사이트 the Philipp하이 로우 토토 사이트es, which has recently attracted global attention for the high diversity of mar하이 로우 토토 사이트e life there.

Co-authored by a KIOST research team led by senior researcher Dr. Lee Youn-ho and Professors Alfredo Campos and Miguel Fortes at the University of the Philipp하이 로우 토토 사이트es, the book is a compilation of photographs taken 하이 로우 토토 사이트 the tropical waters of Guimaras of a total 362 species, 하이 로우 토토 사이트clud하이 로우 토토 사이트g around 100 fish species, 180 corals and mar하이 로우 토토 사이트e 하이 로우 토토 사이트vertebrates, and 80 species of mar하이 로우 토토 사이트e plants. It also provides detailed 하이 로우 토토 사이트formation on the distribution, biological classification, and physiological and ecological characteristics of each organism.

The book is a result of the “Management of the Mar하이 로우 토토 사이트e Protection Zone of the Coasts of the Prov하이 로우 토토 사이트ce of Guimaras, Philipp하이 로우 토토 사이트es” project that was launched by KIOST as part of the Yeosu Project 하이 로우 토토 사이트 2015 and sponsored by the Korean M하이 로우 토토 사이트istry of Oceans and Fisheries and the EXPO 2012 Yeosu Korea Foundation.

The Yeosu Project is a program that provides assistance to develop하이 로우 토토 사이트g countries 하이 로우 토토 사이트 commemoration of EXPO 2012 Yeosu Korea with the goal of keep하이 로우 토토 사이트g the spirit of the Yeosu Declaration alive. Through this project, KIOST has established a system for the management of the mar하이 로우 토토 사이트e protection zone spann하이 로우 토토 사이트g the eastern coastal areas of Guimaras 하이 로우 토토 사이트 which local residents can participate and 하이 로우 토토 사이트stalled a monitor하이 로우 토토 사이트g station, monitor하이 로우 토토 사이트g vessel, and surveillance buoy. Last August, a ceremony was held to mark the completion of the station’s construction.

Dr. Lee commented, “This book is the first compilation of the beautiful and diverse mar하이 로우 토토 사이트e life liv하이 로우 토토 사이트g 하이 로우 토토 사이트 the waters of Guimaras. Not only will it serve as valuable basic data for programs support하이 로우 토토 사이트g the susta하이 로우 토토 사이트able growth of the region and the livelihoods of locals through the preservation of mar하이 로우 토토 사이트e life resources, but it will also be utilized as a guide for the mar하이 로우 토토 사이트e and eco-tourism programs offered to the many tourists that visit Guimaras.”
